A translation of an extensive Lamrim prayer
by Yeshe Tsöndru, a nineteenth-century Gelukpa lama from the Kongpo House of Sera Mey
College. The Lamrim teaching tradition was introduced into Tibet in the 11th century by
the Indian pandit Dipamkara Shrijñana, known more popularly as Jowo Je or Lord Atisha.
The instruction presents the entire Mahayana path to enlightenment in a series of graded
practices. The original Tibetan poem, rendered into English in free verse, presents the
complete range of Lamrim topics in a style that focuses on how to put the the teachings
into practice. The poem is supplemented witih explanations by Sermey Khensur Lobsang
